Give your teachers one shared plan for behavior

Research-based strategies, taught and practiced in one day, ready for the next class period.

Why this training

Discipline and academics are the same problem

When low-level behavior fills the day, instruction time disappears and the best lesson plans go undelivered. A campus that wants higher achievement has to give teachers a working system for discipline first.

This training does that. Its strategies reduce or eliminate 70 to 90% of low-level, chronic behaviors, which lowers stress for teachers. Classroom management is the number one reason educators leave the profession, so it is also a retention plan.

Research

"Teachers' actions in their classrooms have twice the impact on student achievement as school policies regarding curriculum, assessment, staff collegiality, and community involvement."

Marzano, R. J. (2003). What Works in Schools. ASCD.
The five components

The playbook

Five strategies, each taught, modeled, and practiced during the training.

Component One

Self-control strategies

Everything else in the training builds on self-control. Teachers learn to read the room, stay calm, and catch disruptions early, preventing up to 90% of low-level problems.

Component Two

Teaching rules and procedures

Clear procedures, taught on purpose, reduce office referrals. Teachers learn to plan and practice routines the same way they plan academic lessons.

Component Three

Responding to challenges

This is the part teachers ask about most: what to do in the moment. The diffuser system, a supportive stance, and five immediate steps for an out-of-control student give them a plan.

Component Four

Classroom ecology and arrangement

Where students sit and where the teacher stands both shape behavior. This component turns that into fifteen practical desk arrangements.

Component Five

Student-teacher relationships

Room design matters, and relationships matter more. Teachers practice making each student feel individually seen, including the most challenging ones.

Agenda

What the day looks like

Full-day or half-day, delivered in person at your school and scheduled around your calendar.

In the first block, from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM, your trainer covers mindset, classroom design, the teaching power position, fifteen desk arrangements, and rules and procedures.

The second block starts at 1:00 PM, after lunch, and ends at 3:30 PM. Its topics are firm and fair discipline, relationships, non-compliant students, the five steps to regain control, and ending repeated warnings and requests.
